SPC — Safe Path Check
SPC is a 3D simulator for CNC milling machines with up to 9 axes (3 linear axes, 3 rotary axes and 3 parallel U/V/W axes).
It reads the NC program of the numerical control (Fanuc, Heidenhain TNC, Siemens Sinumerik, Haas, Hurco, Mitsubishi, ECS, Selca, ISO), moves the machine exactly as the real one would do and checks, before machining:
- Collisions between heads, tables, tool, toolholder, parts, fixtures and stock;
- Overtravels of every machine axis, taking RTCP, tool length compensation, G53/G28 and tool changes into account;
- Material removal on the stock, with surfaces machined in collision or overtravel shown in red and rapid movements inside the material reported;
- Residual material, with a map of the distance between the machined stock and the part.
SPC also provides a powerful interactive editor of NC files with subprograms, loops and macro variables, the optimization of feeds and speeds per tool, a machine wizard to create and edit machines and a network license with borrowing for offline work, or a stand-alone license for a single computer.
